Margaret Brennan
It is with deep sadness that family and friends have announced the death of Margaret Brennan, a respected employee at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, following a snowmobile accident in the Calgary region. She was 38. Ms Brennan, who was born and raised in Calgary, was described by colleagues as a dedicated professional with a sharp intellect and a warm, generous spirit. After completing a degree in Accounting and Finance at the University of Calgary, she joined PwC, where she built a decade-long career.
During her time at the firm, Ms Brennan worked with a wide range of clients, helping businesses navigate complex financial and regulatory challenges. Colleagues said she was known for her integrity, attention to detail and calm approach under pressure. Beyond her technical expertise, she was praised for mentoring younger staff and fostering a collaborative working environment. In a statement, friends said her sudden death has left a profound void in the lives of those who knew her. “Margaret brought not only professionalism but genuine kindness to every team she worked with,” one colleague said. “She cared deeply about people.”
Outside her career, Ms Brennan had a deep love for the outdoors and for Alberta’s natural landscape. She was an enthusiastic hiker and paddler in the summer months, and enjoyed snowmobiling and other winter pursuits. Friends said she embraced adventure with curiosity and joy. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Elaine Brennan, her brother, Sean Brennan, and a close circle of friends and colleagues. Those close to her say she will be remembered for her generosity, professionalism and enduring enthusiasm for life.
